Lately, I've noticed hesitations and pixellization on recordings made from a TV onto RW medial. Is it time to discard the DVD? I've tried initializing the DVD but it seems not to have helped. So...
Is there an utility to do something similar to R/W test on a DVD?

DVD Info Pro or Nero Speed Disc can both do read testing of a disc. DVD RW (both formats) have very finite life spans - disappointingly short in some cases).
