I'm a noob so be gentle with me...
I have a DVD that I need to modify and I'm wondering what utility I need to make the change in the simplest possible way (IFOedit, PGCedit etc). I don't want to install or use a full-blown DVD authoring program as this is a one-off event.
The DVD has four episodes on it that can be played one after the other (Play All) or selected individually.
The third episode has a minor error and using PGCedit's "info PGC" shows it has a time of 50+ minutes and consists of 2 chapters, 2 programs and 3 cells. I have reauthored the VOB and it now has a time of 25+ minutes and 1 Chapter, 1 Program and 1 Cell.
My question is this... what utility do I use to correctly identify the changed VOB and make all the necessary changes (PGC, VTS whatever) so that the DVD will play correctly (including return to menu after finishing if selected individually or play the next episode if "Play All" was selected).
I fiddled round with IFOedit for a couple of hours and was getting somewhere but I really need a magic bullet that will see the VOB and make all the changes for me because this is the one and only time I am going to do this. Does such a thing exist?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome cryptowiz
None of the above ... use vobblanker to replace the title in question with the new content . -
Excellent! Many thanks... I knew someone here would give me the good oil.
I've now played around with VOBblanker and taken the easy way out... I just blanked the first two cells of the original VOB rather than trying to replace the VOB with the one I edited. I took this option because I couldn't seem to find a guide that showed the way to replace VOB's (though I found postings in other forums where people had asked this and not received a response). If you can spare the time for a quick rundown I'd appreciate it. -
It kind of depends on how it was authored. If each episode is a separate title, open the DVD in VobBlanker. Highlight the episode in question so it appears in the lower window. Highlight it in the lower window and hit the 'Replace' button to the right. Scroll to the newly edited episode and point to its VTS_01_0.IFO. Give it an 'Output Folder' and 'Process'. It's going to warn you about the cell counts not matching, but you can safely ignore that as VobBlanker will create new blank cells so the final cell count equals the original cell count. Test it out before burning. As for a guide, maybe you didn't look hard enough because clicking on the VobBlanker link would have taken you to the VobBlanker page on this site at the bottom of which are several guides for its use. Part three of this one explains what you want to accomplish:

Because there's a 'Playall' button you have to be careful. Make sure to replace the episode you want that shows some size, and not some 0 MB dummy. -
Thanks Manono, that certainly appears to be what I was looking for.
cheers!
