    anydvd to remove dvd encryption(it runs in the background) and convert to divx with Fairuse wizard.

    The method suggested by Baldrick is a very good and easy one.

    If you would like more control over your encoding, though, and possibly a higher quality, try Gordian Knot. This isn't an easy to understand package, but there are a few really good guides out there. So, if you want to try something more advanced out, give that a shot.

    There is an easy-to-use version out called AutoGK. That's good, too.
