    Hi deales82,

    Welcome to the forums.

Wow! I've never heard of that wanting to be done - and, from what you describe, it sounds like it'll be an interesting outcome.

This may sound daft - and forgive me if it is - but how about rotating the video by 90 degrees (retaining the resolution - i.e. 720 x 576 would become 576 x 720) and then do a horizontal interleave?

VirtualDub can rotate video: Video -> Filters -> Add

Beyond that - sorry, I'm stumped. Good luck!
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

  3. Good idea, daamon.

If I'm understanding correctly what deales82 wants to do, I think I'd also rotate them 90% first, interleave them, and then rotate back. AviSynth can handle this pretty easily with the TurnLeft, TurnRight filters.
