Yes the almighty question; but there is something that I really want to make as simplified as possible.
I would like something that works in the fashion of Windows XP Burning Add-on (Cdrom)
I would like something that won't have zillion nobs and switches.
I would like something that by default would make Standard DAO CDROM Mode 1 CD (or whatever the most "standard" CD-Rom format it is.
I would like something that by default would make 100 % Standard Audio CD also DAO without configuring all the other options which are not that many.
I currently use Nero and the following question only concerns CDRom making and Audio. For DVD's I figure it would take time to make it properly.

I use Nero for all around burning. If you just want burning, Nero works fine. If you want to do other things, like encoding, there are much better choices.
If you want a brainless program that will do everything you want, good luck; I'm still looking. The formats used commonly in video are not that standard. Whether you like it or not, you have to have options. And you might have to use more than one program. Just the way it is.

Prassi Ones BABY....
SAO(DAO) for audio CD's in a simple "drop down box" before burning. As long as your burner can do CD's as SAO/DAO...you should be good to go. -
Nero Xpress is by far the easiest I've seen that actually works well. Prassi Ones is good too but can be confusing in comparison to others.

I use:
DVDDecrypter
nero
Prassi
in that order of preference (speaking only of DVD burning).

Try Cdrtfe, it can be found here https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=298961
RogerThere are many ways to measure success. You just have to find your own yardstick. -
EDIT; Nope UltraISO unfortunately looks like it requires the Cdrom to be converted to image first.
Prassi ONES is actually awesome. Thanks to all who suggested this software.
Heh didn't mean to revive this topic if its considered old but it looks like UltraISO might meet this requirement. So far that I can tell it's very very simple to use and burn the CDs.
