I had some overheating problems and installed a thermaltake big typhoon. I ran into some problems in the install and noticed after I was done with installing it that I must have had some artic silver on my fingers. I saw a spot on the motherboard and wiped it off with some rubbing alcohol. My computer seems to be working and it is at 25C idle. The problem is my speakers are making hissing and cracking noises and my flourescent lights are dimming like they are losing power. My power levels look stable. I am wondering if I did some motherboard damage during the install or what I might look to as a problem. Also in the bios my cpu fan speed is red at 1328.

    thanks for any help.

my light just went out so I think it was just the sound of my light failing through my speakers. I was proablya little paranoid anyway after the rough install of the cpu fan.

Could be with the Addition of the Big Typhon, your power supply is not enough. Might need to get a more powerful Power Supply.
