I have a Compro DVB-T300 pci card in my PC.
When watching TV on my PC I notice the things on screen get blurry when they have sideways movement.
    I understand this is a interlacing/deinterlacing problem, correct ?
What ways are there to combat the blurring effect ?

I plan to use my card in an MCE HTPC that will only be used on a TV but I don't think the blurriness is solved even thought the picture is viewed on a TV. Some earlier tests I did seemed to show the blur still present on the TV

    Thanks

You did a blended deinterlace. Your footage is already butched, nothing can fix it. Redo everything, or at very least don't make the same mistakes in the future.

The problem is undoubtedly in the capture software or the encoding process, neither of which you discussed details for.

Sorry, I didn't really mention that it was during the watching of the DVB broadcast itself. Not actually doing any capturing of any sort.

Is it because I'm receiving an interlaced TV broadcast but is being displayed on my progressive PC monitor ?

    Cheers
