Hi, this site was recommended to me as a place where someone might be able to help me with this problem. I download video onto my computer (Windows 7) from my Canon ZS3 camera, as well as from the iphone. The videos often will come up displaying sideways or upside down. I have looked around but can find no setting anywhere that will let me at least rotate the videos.......of course it would be better if I didn't have the issue in the first place.

I was told this may be a codec issue, but I have no idea how to proceed. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

You might take a look at iRotate: http://entechtaiwan.com/util/irotate.shtm it will rotate the whole desktop by multiples of 90 degrees (including the mouse pointer direction - makes it interesting to use : ) it is free for personal use.

  3. Could it be the way you hold your camera? If you rotate your camera while videoing it will display sideways on your computer or TV also.

If you only want to view them VLC and probably many other third party video players can rotate on playback. To rotate them permanently requires re-encoding them. I'd give AVI DeMux a shot for that.
