  1. Bear with me. I'm new at this. I have DVDSP version 4.0.3 on my Titanium PB. I have done several DVDSP projects with animated menu templates. The animation works fine when burned to DVD.
I have DVDSP version 4.1.0 installed on my Quad G4. No matter what I try, I am unable to get the animated menu templates to work. It appears to work fine when I play the project with the simulation button before building and formating. But on the final DVD, the menu movies don't even appear. The screen is blank in the areas where the menu movie should be. I hope I am explaining this so that you understand the problem. What am I doing wrong? Why does it seem to work on my PB but not my desktop?
    any help greatly appreciated.

There could be several factors causing this.
    It could be :
    * Improper Duration set for the animation
    * Media is missing and can't be found before the burn; the simulation is running
off of the Par Output (embedded) and is "faking" it.
*There was a problem in the muxing stage we are unaware of.
    * Preferences for DVDSP could be dirty.

    What I would do is:
Close the Project. Find all "PAR" folders associated with the project.
    Dump those. Go into user/Library/Preferences/
and look for "dvdstudiopro.plist", and trash this file.
Relaunch the project. If the Media is
truly missing, you will get the "missing media, please relink"
    Dialog open opening the project.

If you do not get this, then by Trashing the pars, it will force
DVDSP to re-connect to the media, to create new Pars.
Trashing the Prefs will in general, fix anything else that
    might be wrong.
Simulate and then watch the log as you do a new build
of the project to seel if any errors occur in the muxing
    stages.

I haven't had a need to go past 4.03 at work, and I only run
3.02 at home, but often the steps I outline above fix
problematic builds in DVDSP. Good luck!
