  1. Hi all,

Im trying to convert Dust To Glory which is in .avi form , according to svcd2dvd it is a 700 mb mpeg 4 NTSC 560x304 res 985 total bit rate , audio is mp3 , 48000 sample rate , 32 kbps .

If i just add the 700 meg avi file to the vts screen , it says its about 4400mb , just over the max for a standard dvd. So i hit the auto fit button ( like ive done probably a couple dozen times before) and after finishing with creating the dvd. I get about 35 total minutes of video out of what should have been 1 hour and 33 minutes. The avi is converted to a 1.02 gb s2d.mpg file. I played this file in windows media player classic and its only like 23 mintues long , the rest of the movie is just missing . So its something to do with the encoding , not the finished dvd. Ive made a ton of movies using this program and theyve all turned out great, im really confused as to why this particular avi is giving me so much trouble.

Ive done 4 encodes with vairous settings, ive even tried not clicking the auto fit button and it still gives me a 27 minutes 1.02 gb s2d.mpg file .

Im sure its a stupid setting error by my part , but any help would be appreciated. Ive tried using the version 2.1 and a earlier version (sorry cant remember what version) both gave me the same result.

    Anyway thanks for the help.

  2. Have you tried scanning the AVI for errors with something like VirtualDub? Have you tried processing with any other converter?
