I'm converting 6 mono wav files to 5.1 Ac3 in BeSweet. Can anyone tell me if it matters what order each file is in so that each file gets assigned to the proper 5.1 channel? How will BeSweet know which file to assign to which 5.1 channel?
For example:
Center
Front Left
Front Right
LFE
Surround Left
Surround Right
Or some other order?

Your order should be:
Front Left
Center
Front Right
Surround Left
Surround Right
LFE -
Thank you. So, to get them in that order I should just name them in such a way that they naturally fall in alphabetical order? For example:
a Front Left
b Center
c Front Right
d Surround Left
e Surround Right
f LFE
Or do I just put them in the proper order in the .mux file I create? In that case, it would not matter how they are named, correct? Will -
I've never used Belight to mux 5.1 AC3, but there was another thread here that listed the order for the mux file. Just write the mux file the way the person said in that thread and it will work for you.
If I do any fiddling around with 5.1 AC3 I use WaveWizard and mux and encode the files through it.
