    Hi everyone:

Would someone please give me a suggestion for the settings in TMPGEnc that I should use to create my video clip.

Here's what I have already done:

    1) From an AVI (aspect ratio 16:9), I captured a snapshot (.png), using VideoLan.

    2) Using a photo editting software, I created an .jpg file, keeping the original size of the snapshot.

I have trouble converting this .jpg file to a video clip with the orginal aspect ratio 16:9.
I tried the setting DVD (NTSC).mcf, with source aspect ratio at 16:9 525 lines NTSC and video arrange at both center - and full screen - keep aspect ratio.

The result is still not 16:9.

Thanks for listening to my "whining"

In what way is it not 16:9 ?

The result will still be 720 x 480 (NTSC D1 resolution), but will be vertical stretched, and will have a 16:9 flag embedded into it to tell playback devices to stretch it horizontally to compensate for the image distortion.

What are you getting for output ?

    Hi guns1inger:

I found out that my video clip (.mpg) was not 16:9 when I converted it to .vob, using DivXToDVD.

After I loaded the .mpg file, DivXToDVD described its "computed frame ratio" as 1.5. I chose "automatic" for aspect, DivXToDVD said "4:3 automatically selected".

I have to select "force 16:9".

Thanks for taking your time to respond to my question.
