Cutting different sections from a DVD (from VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders)

Hiya

I have had my wedding recently and the video man gave me the DVD for the occasion... now I want to use a software that will allow me to go to different timeline within the DVD and take some sections of the movie out... I.e. the embarrassing things!!!

The DVD he has given me has 2 folders called, VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS... there is nothing in the audio folder... but there are quite a few files in the VIDEO_TS folder.... could you please let me know what software I could use to access these files and then cut some sections off the DVD...

Also if there is a software where I could fade in and out the sections where I cut the movie... so there is a nice transaction

if you want transitions you need an advanced editor, like mpeg video wizard or ulead dvd workshop / ulead dvd moviefactory. they can import from from dvds or open the vts vob files.

if you just want to cut you can use tda(select add dvd video) or videoredo.
