Began with a working .mpg2 file. Authored with ShowBiz DVD, creating chapters. Sound is present while doing that task. Wasted one disc , then tried twice again, saving .vobs to hard-drive instead. Audio is missing.
I've done this before with success.
One thing, the source .mpeg in this case began as a .vob, renamed as .mpg. I've found that either way ...vob>mpg , mpg>vob .... the file still plays in Media Player , and works within editing programs. So if the sound works while editing/authoring.....should it not during burn (or hd folder .vob creations)?
