Tiger Woods 2002 crashes when game trys to load

I've got Tiger Woods 2002 form a collector pack I bought awhile ago. I never really tried out until now. I installed it and went to play it. The game menu starts up just fine and I can check all the options and move around freely. The opening video plays fine (the one right after the "ea sports - its in the game" tag plays). And yes I have installed the patch that was on the website.

But it still won't play! I've been trying to do some online searching for it but haven't really come up with anything. I have a ATI Radeon 9250. I can't imagine that card isn't supported - especially since I have the patch installed.

Any suggestions??? It crashes as soon as I configure a game mode and click ok to play. Then it just goes black and shuts down back to the desktop. Really strange since I can load the menu but the actual game doesn't play.

Well nevermind. Somehow it started working properly. It would say "previous game aborted abnormaly start again?" or something like that. Each time I ignored it but this time I clicked yes out of curiousity and it works perfectly. Really odd but hey its a pretty good looking game.
