Ok here is what I have:
-PIII 1 GHZ
-Windows XP Professional
-2 Maxtor 40GB 7200 RPM Hard Drives (C:4GB,D:36GB)(E:40GB)
-256 MB SDRAM
-ASUS CUSL2-C MoBo
-SoundBlaster Live! Value
-And of course, ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 8500DV
I will be capturing TV Shows, VCR Tapes, and video from a DV Cam and Video Cameras. I have read the AIW Capture Guide in the "How to Capture" section. But does that still apply to XP Pro and the Radeon 8500DV. And what about those other guides, will they still apply to what I have. I want to capture to the highest quality(.avi is it?) and then I will convert(if neccessary) to (x)VCD or (x)SVCD with TMPGENC. Any settings or tweaks you know of that will make the capturing better please let me know. This will be my first time capturing so please help point me in the right direction. All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
