I have downloaded VirualDubMOD and when I tried to opwn my .avi files they didn't work?
Would anyone know the reasion for this?

Sorry - crystal ball is in the shop at the moment. You will have to supply a little more information.
lets start with :
1. What sort of avi files ? AVI is a container format. The codecs used to format the video and audio define what is truly is. Use something like g-spot to determine the contents, and whether or not you have suitable codecs installed.
2. What error messages does virtualdubmod give you ? It doesn't just not open a file. It will tell you why.Read my blog here.
