  1. hi,
    i have searched the board for an answer but cant find one,i want to know how to burn divx straight to a dvd (no converting just keep it in divx) i have tried burning them as a data dvd but that doesn't work.
    i know you guys know your stuff so any help will be great.

    Burning as data is the way to go. If it doesn't work than it's not DivX or your playback unit can't recognize the format you captured the video in.

  3. DATA does not work? sounds like your player does not support DivX on DVD or something like that, since I do it all the time and have no problems what so ever. My standalone palyer is a BBK 971 (OPPO in the US).

    Check that the palyer in question really works with DivX on DVD and just not Divx on CD.

  5. i have sorted it now,
    turns out it was the dvd player,
    it does read the divx discs its just a bit of a temperamental player sometimes so it didn't read the disc first time,
