    Hi,

    As I mentioned,I'm really new to this.I want to make DVDs to be played on any DVD players from movies with the format AVI,DivX and DAT.In other words if I have a movie in AVI format,how I can make a DVD out of it to be played on any DVD player?

    I really need a simple programe with step y steo guide?

    Have you ever heard the saying "The lord helps those who help themselves". Have you tried doing some reading and/or searching on this site. We will be glad to help, but try reading and learning a bit first, so you at least know how to ask the right questions, and have some idea of what you can or can't do, and what you want in the end.

    The formats you've described are simply containers for video which could be encoded in many different ways. In order to properly provide you with directions or a guide you'd need to tell us how you encoded the video in the first place.

    Super should beable to handle most avi's to vob for dvd .
    As for dat's , it will depend on if your player's can play vcd's , although I prefer mini-dvd's , most movie's in this format will require 2 cd's .

    The only problem you will come across is any form of upscalling of the picture ... the more upscaling is used , the quality gose south .

    The reason I prefer mini-dvd's is because there is no mucking about later should you decide to burn them to dvd , 3 or 4 title's to a single dvd .

    I will have a guide finished shortly on dealing with these thing's ... of course I'll hear from baldrick on that one .
