hello everyone!
i´m really new to this!
my movie is two 850 mb mpg files....do i have to split these two files into four to get it to fit on cd´s?? i want to make them fit into two! but is this impossible?...if i have to split them how can i do it?![]()

you could split them and have 4 files
or you could merge them and re-cut them to 3 files
tmpgenc or virtualdub can do this - you cand find this on the left column under tools
merging and cutting will give you 1 less disc but can be more tricky.
its up to you -
If it is MPEG1 then you could probably get one onto a 800MB disc.
You can always try to overburn if you have a compatible drive (like Lite-On)
Or use 90 or 99 min CDRs
Try, try, tryPanasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin' -

OR, you could run it through TMPGEnc to make XVCD with just a bit lower bitrates so that the output file is around 790 MB and then burn using Nero - that is IF your DVD player supports XVCD.
P.S. That way you could actually fit BOTH files on 1 CD but it is not recommended. -
Re-encoding an MPEG should be your last, last choice. Not only will it take a long time but you will seriously loose some quality.
