I'm looking for cheap A/V Receiver. Was wondering what as the best bang for the buck. Does not need to be digital but does need SVideo and Composite etc. Needs to be able to at least support 5.1 speakers etc.
Story:
My parents got this DVD/Surround sound package @ Kmart and the DVD player that they got had a receiver built in?!?! But unfortunately for them the AUX hookups (which are only 1) don't use the 5.1 speakers. It has a AM/FM and the DVD player acts as the CD unit and it has one pair of RCA AUX audio input. I'd like to only use the DVD player for it's DVD/CD capability and get a A/V receiver to power the VCR/TV/DVD's surround sound. They got the package (DVD/5.1 Speakers) for around $200 so instead of going through the hassle of getting new speakers and player and stuff. I'll go this route.
TIA
