  1. can someone tell me if it is posible to convert a powerpoint presentation to a dvd so as to be veiwed on a dvd.
    i have a powerpoint presentation of a friend and would like to play ot at his birthday party but there will be no pc available only a dvd player
    even if it can be veiwed as a vcd would be fine
    come on brains help me out

    There are a couple of applications that claim to do this, however by all accounts they are limited in how well they do it. Google will find most of them.

    If there is animation and other effects you are less likely to get a good outcome from these programs. If they are stills, you are better off taking screenshots and creating a DVD from these.

    Your other option is to use a screencam program like FRAPS or similar to record the presentation while it plays back.

    I think there's some payware called powerpoint2DVD (funnily enough). However the program's authors seem to like spamming our user guides forum here with "guides" for their products, so I'm loathe to recommend them.

    As guns1inger said, google or alternatively setting up the powerpoint presentation to run synchonously and then screen-capping it might be a more viable option.

    I found a demo 30 day trial of a program called Camtasia
    am trying that at the moment it seems to be OK but thanks
    for the help and advice i might still follow up and try the software suggested
