    I'm thinking Windows Media WMV format.

    My source video is 720 x 480 1.2 DV Widescreen format (16:9).

    I'm thinking of creating the video at 640 x 360 in WMV format for the powerpoint presentation.

    Any suggestions for what works best?

    WMV is the best choice for PowerPoint. That resolution seems fair, although you could also consider 854 x 480 to better fill the slide.
