Basically I ripped a DVD into an mpeg-2 using tmpgenc dvd author. I know want to proceed and convert this DVD to an avi file. I loaded it into virtualdub mod and was about to apply lame 3.96.1 mp3 codec to it but the compression wasnt there. I had this codec installed already so I go and reinstall it anyways. Still it's not there. Anyone know what's going on or is there a way I can manually put it in? Thanks

Have you installed just the codec or the ACM as well ?
http://www4.tpgi.com.au/mtam/install_lame.htmIf in doubt, Google it.
