    IS there anyone out there that can help a complete novice? I have recently bought a a Panisonic NV-G35 and have premier 6.5 as an editing tool.Have captured using firewire IEE1394 every thing is good till I come to Burn the disc (using NERO EXPRESS) the end result played through a DVD player is BLURED & FUSSY I have tried different Export Settings,different codecs,different burnig programmes, and as many various combinations of the above as to leave my head spinning.My only hope now is that someone (using the simplest language) could give me the definitive settings to acheive a resonable result. Your my last hope as I know no-one who does this. Cheers DV VIRGIN (not for long I hope)

    Can you post screenshots - preferably taken in PowerDVD ?

    Does it look like this on the TV as well as the PC, or PC only ? The PC the worst place to look for the final quality.

    Can you give a more specific decsription of the problems, other than 'blurred and fussy' ?

    The most obvious thing that fits you description is interlacing. Either you are playing it back on a PC in WMP or similar, and seeing the interlacing, or you have the field order reversed.

    Hi DV VIRGIN,

    Welcome to the forums. How's the good ol' UK weather?

    I went from Premiere 6.0 to Premiere Pro 1.5 - so not sure of 6.5. It sounds as if you're using Premiere to encode to end up with your DVD.

    As well as answering guns1inger's question, can you also provide a detailed description on each of the major steps, from start to finish.

    E.G.
    * Transfer from DV to PC via firewire, get AVI files.
    * Edit in Premiere 6.5
    * Encode for DVD / output as ??? format
    * Author to DVD using ??? tool

    etc.
    There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

    If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
