Is there a program out there (free if possible, though I'd be happy to pay if its a goodie) that can join mpeg1 files without any loss of quality?

I'm looking for a programme that does a similar job to asfbin which I use to join WMV files (which I then edit, again without loss of quality, with Solveig video splitter, a great little application.

    thanks

There is another method ... but it take's time and only freeware involved .

Though baldrick asked me why in another post .

It's the only way I found acceptable video quality retention , but dose involve re-encoding back to mpeg , though I prefer to encode as mpeg2 with the original resolution of the mpeg1 file .

I'll post this guide soon ... so everybody can see for themselve's just why I do it this way .

Then it'll be left up to user's if they find it acceptable for there own conversion's .

  6. If both fies have the same properties...jusr load them into dgindex and demux.... dgindex will do a demux joining the two files... just choose the option to demus audio and then the option "save project and demux video"... the the resulting files (video+audio) and mux them again (don't forget to check the audio delay - will be on the audio demux file names) using one of the tools posted on this site...
My oppinions may change, but not the fact that I am right!
