I downloaded and installed the real alternative codec so I could play .rmvb and .ram files on media player classic. Both file types worked fine until today. Now I can't play any files with the .ram extension. I've tried reinstalling the program and restarting my computer, but neither work. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You could try this
Media Player Classic -> View -> Options ->Formats
Scroll down to the Real Media File box (make sure it's ticked) go across to the right and doubleclick on the decoder - a drop down box should appear - select Real Media, and click on Apply.
Hope this helps
