    Hi All,

I have been reading the RMBV conversion guide and it calls for the installation of real alternative codec. Since, having real alternative codec and real player in the same PC might be a problem. I would like to know if having Real Player and Avisynth together with TMPGEnc is enough for me to convert RMBV to MPEG2 ?

Just want a confirmation before I plunge in.

    Thanks in advance.

I raised similar concerns some time back and was told that they can co-exist.

Installing real media splitter and having real player will work just as well. It is the method approved by Real. As per Real, Real Alternative does not have their clearance and is warez- a stand endorsed by doom9 forum.

I installed the real media splitter and it works for 29.97fps but not 15fps.

    Hi All,

I would to give this a last shot. Using AVICodec, the rmvb file is 15 fps and 352 x 288. I am using VirtualDubMod defualt template:

    #ASYNTHER DirectShow_NTSC
    [DirectShowSource("%f", fps=15, convertfps=true)]

But it didn't work when I tried opening the rmvb file from VirtualDubMod. The Blade2 movie trailer sample works fine.

Thanks in advance for your tips.

Which version of avisynth are you using ? If you are using 2.5.7, try updating to 2.5.8 alpha. It resolves some issues with DirectShowSource.

Indeed, I am using 2.5.7. Will uninstall it and reinstall with 2.5.8.
