Hi, just got a DVD Recorder for xmas, yay!
However i just linked my vcr upto my dvd recorder to try and record a few vhs movies to dvd but an error appears stating:
COPY PROTECTION FOUND CAN NOT RECORD
Im guessing the vhs has protection on it! but i know people copy these vhs so i was just wandering how its done, thanks

Some VHS tapes are protected by macrovision ... you can overcome this by connecting a macrovision blocker between the vcr and dvd recorder ... these are very cheap items to buy and there are many different ones ... they all do a similar job of blocking the macrovision signals, do a google search for 'macrovision removal' and make your choice from the many types available

Hi Guys,
Facing same issues as posted here, I recently bought a hardware modified DVD recorder, the Liteon 5005x, with a built-in copy protection remover. I'm very happy with the purchase. Records premium channels or any commercial VHS to DVD.
