    Hi, I`m just tried my first DVD rip with smartripper and DVDAvi, that worked really well. But then the TMPEnc didn`t recognize the files. Could someone please tell me what I did wrong

  3. He probably means VOB file.

    What you need to do, kawol, is open the .d2v file or the vpavi .avi file.

    sorry I meant the .d2v file, that`s the file TMPEnc can not open.
    and regarding DVD2AVI, I diddn`t change anything (I have to look at the settings later)

  6. heh....very common problem..

    here's wut you do:

    in the folder where your DVD2AVI.exe file is located at, put a file called DVD2AVI.vfp.

    then next time u run dvd2avi to make .d2v project file, make sure u do the following:

    goto help menu->make sure VFAPI plug-in is checked....after that, tempgenc will recognize the .d2v project file

    Hi poopyhead, thanks for the advice. I played around half the night and read Sefy`s guide one more time and then I gigured it out. And HURRAY, now it worked. I only have to check the Bitrate, the resulting Video is a little bit too large for a CD.
