Currently I am using DVD Decrypter ISO Read/Write for backup. I am pleased with the quality of the results.
BUT..how can I remove the annoying restrictions - you know, the restrictions to go to menu while watching a preview etc.
Do I need to use another backup software for that?

When you rip with decrypter, you can choose to remove user prohibitions. Check the options section of that program.

Well I was not aware of that option, I may have to give it ago....

You can even remove the previews that play before the menu with vobblanker or titlesetblanker. That way, you can do straight to the main menu without playing any of the previews, fbi warnings, copyright warning screens and other crap.

open dvddecrypter then click tools>settings>iso(tab) and check 'remove PUOs'
