When I try to burn a dvd disc image with my 109 using decrypter or alcohol it seems to fail most of the time. when i say fail, I mean the drive light goes out in the middle of the burn and it just sits there and I have to end task on the program and restart the pc to get the failed dvd out of the drive.
When burning dvd video with nero 6, it works 90% of the time but now and again the drive light goes out in the middle of a burn and again have to end task and restart.
is my drive a dud or is anyone else having these problems with the 109?
cheers!

I have seen Pioneer drives act this way when power is unstable. Your power supply may be marginal or starting to fail. If you can, temporarily unplug any other optical drives and remove any non-critical cards from the machine. Then retry and see if the results are any different.
You could also try reflashing the firmware. It can't hurt.
Good luck.
