    A very few are made for upgrades, but with most, usually the memory is about the only thing that is fairly easy to upgrade. Video cards or hard drives require a fair amount of disassembly with most laptops. Video may be on-board and not be upgradeable.

    Memory and hard drive upgrades are usually pretty straightforward. CD/DVD drive upgrades are less so. CPU and Video upgrades are a nightmare.

    I just updraded my laptop's graphics card. Pretty easy to do, if you follow the product manual they supply.
