Ilo dvdr05 ZU Divx/Xvid Problem

Hi,
I'm having a problem when trying to play a divx or xvid movie on mye Ilo dvdr05 ZU. I burn a cd with the files on it then pop it in the dvd player and it loads into the file explorer but shows 0 files. is there a certain format you have to burn them? or just plain files?
Any help would be great but ill try and not make some more coasters now

i have tried repacking with vDub but stil no hope..
