i was going to burn an avi file when my dvdsanta started to frig up.
it does the "an error while trying to run, send report or dont send" thing.

So I asked my cousin what other program could burn it for me but he said to convert it to mpg and then burn it with nero? I downloaded a converter that if you only use the trial it puts a watermark in the middle of the video.

So my question is, Does anyone know another program that will burn my AVI for me? or a better converter to mpg?

Are you wanting to convert to MPEG and burn the MPEG or author to DVD-Video ?

That doesn't really answer the question

Do you need it as an MPEG file burnt to disc (ie, your settop DVD player can play raw MPEG, or you're only gonna watch this on your PC), or do you need it to play on a settop DVD player (IFO, BUP and VOB files inside a VIDEO_TS folder) ?

yeah that's the one i downloaded though and if you don't pay for it then they will put a watermark in the middle of the picture.

The old version has no watermark, and last time I tried the new trial version, the watermark was right up the top (semi-cut-off by overscan) so I don't know where you're getting "in the middle of the picture" from. Methinks you just read a webpage that mentioned a watermark and assumed without actually trying it ?
