Here is the output in the terminal of a running encoding.
It is a VOB to MP4 encoding, with XviD codec, AAC as audio codec and ffmpeg as encoding engine.

Can anybody tell me what's happening? I already made encoding using this parameters, and never had this lines...

    Regards,
    kaz

  2. Apparently your source movie is strangely encoded. Either the result is looking good, either it is not, in that case try using the "Decode with Quicktime" option (and make sure that your Quicktime can read mpeg-2 by means of the Apple mpeg-2 player component, http://www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2/

The result isn't looking like anything. VLC can't open it.

mencoder is encoding it with H264 right now (it will last a bit), and it seems to be quite ok. No errors messages. Maybe is there a problem specifically with ffmpeg here...

Would it be possible to have a "XviD [.MP4] mencoder" video option? Il would be great, as H264 is an incredibly efficient codec but also incredibly resource demanding, which leads my computer (G4, 1.33GHz) not being able to read videos with more than 700x400... And I need the mp4 format.

Thanx for this great software again, anyways!

    kaz
