Over the past few years, my mp3 collecion has outgrown it's usefulness on the PC.
I now use my mobile phone as my mp3 player (Samsung A920), and there's no need for 192 and 256kbps mp3s, as sub-100kbps sound the same (to me anyhow).
I'd like to downsample my entire collection, and thus fit even more on the phone.
Anyone know of a batch prog that will do it?
I tried messing with CDEX, but can't grasp it's (supposed) ability to input multiple mp3's and output multiple, at a lower bitrate.

I'd also recommend dbpoweramp. Try to get version 9 as the newer versions may be trialware instead of freeware (not sure tho).

The GodFather can do it too. It's also a great Tag editor and organizer. Freeware, just a Google away!
