i was wondering if i should buy a dreamcast and convert my divx's to dreamcast format(there's a link for it on the tool section, on how to do it), but i don't know if it works or not. can some one tell me? thanks

  2. It doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Dreamcast VCD playback is not very good at all, and converting DivX to VCD usually produces bad-looking results. If I were you I wouldn't waste the time to convert DivX to blocky VCD and then watch it on Dreamcast.

An Apex DVD player costs just $30 more than a Dreamcast anyway...

  4. I havent used that dreamcast divx program yet but the dc has really bad playback anyway. I dont believe that prog converts the vid into dc video formats but into a divx format that will play with the software in the d/l kinda like that gyplay prog does with mpegs. I wouldnt suggest bothering with it unless u just felt like experimenting.
