I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the pulldown option in CCE 2.70.

I normally use PullDownBatchFE after I've encoded my files. I'd love to cut that step out and just use CCE for that function, but I'm wondering if there is any quality difference between the two? Or does it really not matter when it comes to this? Any help is appreciated.

I use the pulldown in CCE 2.70.x and have seen no ill effects or anyhting to make think it is different or inferior to DGPulldown. I still use DGPulldown from time to time, but encodes of 23.976 material out of CCE use CCE's pulldown.

I've always used pulldown.exe but since DGPulldown hit the scene I've been using that instead.

I was not aware of CCE having this function built-in ???

I mean we are talking about encoding a 23.976fps source in CCE then applying "pulldown" so it plays back correctly on a DVD player showing as 29.970fps instead of 23.96fps.

    Right?

Yep. They introduced it in 2.70 and it seems to work well.

There was quite a change between the older 2.66/2.67 and 2.70. Interfaced changed, a resize ability was added (which I don't use) and a few other things. I actually prefer the oler interface for the advanced settings - seemed to make more sense. The other changes are welcome though.

Yeah I was suprised by the change in the GUI from 2.67 to 2.70. I think I might just try using CCE for the pulldown and see how that works. I mean, honestly I don't see how there really can be that much of a difference.
