  1. I know how to convert pal2ntsc and had no issue with it. I was just curious about something because I never decided to question it before.

    I noticed in dgcpulldown (and I could swear at least one of the 3000 guides on here mentioned this)

    that if you are doing a pal2ntsc transfer (dvd material) you can keep the framerate as 25 frames as long as you apply the pulldown of 25to29 frames.

    Is this saying that I would be able to play the disc in a regular ntsc player? Would the pulldown for that type trick the player into not seeing a pal framerate on an ntsc disc?

    The usual method I do is take the 25 frames and convert it to an ntsc 23.97/24 frames and go from there, but if I am able to actually leave the pal framerate of 25 frames then this would make everything a little bit easier

    Yes.

    Not "trick" exactly, it's just part of the design.
