You should probably read https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=223640 .
At the end of the day, someone can just reauthor your keypad lock out of the picture anyway.
So .... worth it ?If in doubt, Google it. -
And if they don't know how to do that they can just make copies and write the password on the disc'sOriginally Posted by jimmalenko

but in regards to actually helping. i have made the keylock before on a dvd as part of a questionare where each screen asked a question and the answer correct answer gave the next number on the lock ect. i made the lock on adobe encore dvd and yes it took a long time but if you just follow the guide step by step it is not very hard. but if you want it easy then just get dvd lab as i have and it includes it as a plugin. you then just drag it to your dvd project and choose the passcode and it does all the work for you. -

I can actually see the need sometimes to "want" to protect something from being copied, but these keypad locks and passwords
In the end... it's all futile!!
But i too sometimes try to do things that don't matter, just to see if it can actually be done 8) -
Make your menu with the key pad on it. Make EVERY key link to return to this same menu (a loop). Choose how many digits you want the combination to be and make that many copies of the menu (so if your password is 12345 you will have a total of 4 copies plus the main to equal 5). Once all your menus are cloned, go in and link the first digit manually to the second menu, then go to the second menu and link the second digit to the third menu, etc. The last digit links to your movie.Originally Posted by GINZY
If the wrong digit is pressed on any of the menus it will send them back to the first menu making it a loop so that the first digit must be pressed again. - Don't use switched menus, the links will update automatically and mess the whole thing up.
