    I have new sys asus p5nd2-sli am running 2 geforce 6800 gs 256mb in sli mode also creative xfi platinum 24bit sound card had to put sound card in pci slot 3 oh yeah p4 3.6ghx ht and 2ghz ram problem is am having hardware conflicts when hauppage wintv pvr is installed any help would be gratly appreciated almost forgot am using silverstone 650 watt sli certified power supply

    because of video cards slot 1 is out of the question. have tried both configurations of slot 2 and 3 with sound and pvr cards i did not mention earlier that what happens is comp will lock up with awful white noise thru speakers am using creative 500w 5.1 speakers any other help would be appreciated some one changed irq's toget sound card to work in slot 3 i am pretty much a novice who like to record saved programs and listen to my 50+gigs of music

    hauppauge they suspect there are BIOS issues with these systems. With huge amount of system RAM combined with huge amount of graphics memory he would not doubt that there are some kind memory allocation issues.
    You need to talk to asus
    Also the old Hauppage WinTV-PVR had been know not work on newer motherbaord.
    sli is best used for game system not what you try to do.

    thank you 4 your help asus confirmed your observation that i built a very decent gamer but not what i wanted. so much for asking questions first i have some spare parts and will probably try to build 1 just for video thanks again
