  1. Hi Every one
I installed Kmega lite codec (ver 7.1.0) for playing all media in my PC
and Also need to work with Divx Plus 8 which have the codec that I need for AfterEffects and Premiere Exporting with high quality HD and low size

the problem that when I open any folder which have (mp4 avi mkv) the windows crashes and need to restart

when removing the Divx all works fine, but in exporting I need a very large space for AE and Premiere

How Can I make Kmega lite codec works fine with Divx without problems??? Please help

    *sorry for bad english

Maybe try somethingelse than the klite codec pack. Maybe ffdshow.

  3. OK, but i hate to install several of codecs
isn't there any option to disable or option to not install in klite codec pack --> which save time and solve the conflict problem

That's possible, but some detective work, possibly using graphstudio to see what is going on.
I've found that the latest release(s) of Divx can interfere with others, such as it's own source filter which can override.
Haali. One thing you'll see if you spend any time on these forums - the regulars recommend FFDshow + haali splitter.

K-Lite should have installed some links in your Start Menu. Look for Codec Tweak Tool.
You can use that to configure or reset the codec settings, or uninstall any you don't want.

Your crashing problem is probably due to Windows trying to make thumbnails for your videos.

There is a way to turn it off, I think it's a pretty useless "feature", but I can't recall how off the top of my head.

For disabling the thumbnail feature in Explorer, try this:

From the Start menu (or a Command Prompt window), type "regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll" and press Enter.
That should disable the 'feature.' I don't know if the command is still valid for Win7 (you may need to run the Command window as admin in Vista or 7) - but if it isn't, or otherwise doesn't work, you can reverse the command by entering it again, but this time, leaving out the /u ("regsvr32 shmedia.dll").
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
