    I've got an ES-20 and am copying old VHS tapes. Will there be any quality difference visible between 1 and 2 hour mode?

    Not really, not on a Panasonic.
    Just don't go over 2 hours and you'll be fine.

    I used LP mode on my Panasonic & it looks fine. Try it yourself & see what you think. VHS is very low resolution & what recording speed are those vhs using?
