i try to rip a self-burned dvd to harddrive with dvd decrypter so i can edit it and burn it on a fresh copy, and i received the following error message from dvd decrypter during the process

do anyone know what the problem is

it's probably the brand of dvd media that you used. usually cheap dvd media will have problems with the files being read back. try ripping the disc with the latest DVDFAB DECRYPTER.

i have tried dvdfab decrypter, it took really long time like 3hrs and the file came out to be incomplete
so u saying its hardware problem not the something wrong with the software? -

you could try using another dvdrom/dvd burner to try to get the disc to be read back correctly. NEC drives are known not to be good readers.
