  1. i try to rip a self-burned dvd to harddrive with dvd decrypter so i can edit it and burn it on a fresh copy, and i received the following error message from dvd decrypter during the process

    I/OError!
    Device: [1:0:0]_NEC DVD_RW ND-3550A 1.05 (D (ATA)

    ScsiStatus:0x02
    Interpretation: Check Condition

    CDB:28 00 00 12 04 B0 00 00 01 00
    Interpretation: Read (10) - Sector: 1246384

    Sense Area: F0 00 03 13 04 B0 0A 00 00 00 00 11 00 00 00 00 00
    Interpretation: Unrecovered Read Error

    do anyone know what the problem is
    any help would be appreciated

    it's probably the brand of dvd media that you used. usually cheap dvd media will have problems with the files being read back. try ripping the disc with the latest DVDFAB DECRYPTER.

  3. i have tried dvdfab decrypter, it took really long time like 3hrs and the file came out to be incomplete
    so u saying its hardware problem not the something wrong with the software?

    no it is not a software problem but it's probably the brand of dvd disc that you used. cheap dvd media will result in the problem that you have.

    you could try using another dvdrom/dvd burner to try to get the disc to be read back correctly. NEC drives are known not to be good readers.
