I've just bought a divx player for my television, any tips on burning divx files as data files?
Thanks

In my experience so far, the best DivX codec is the He-3 which can found somewhere on the DivX website or at http://www.freewarefiles.com/downloads_counter.php?programid=16155

My best tip is to Verify after burning. It's no fun finding out later that you didn't burn what you think you did.
It also shows you right away which brands will work well for you and which are the stinkers.
Takes a little longer to Verify, but it's worth the time.

Is it best to verify using nero, or just do it manually? i.e. copy the files over to your hdd to make sure there aren't any cycle redundancy whatnots

The best verification is to watch/view the data that was burnt. Nothing beats verifying by the method you actually will be using the disc for.
