i have some files that when played in either WMP or REAL player it gradually goes out of sync slowly. When i click on the 'playing bar' it will no longer be out of sync but will again slowly get out of sync.

I put the file inside G-Spot and this was all i got:

    File Type: 3GPP Media (.3GP) [MP4 compat.]
    Mime Type: video/mp4

I have xvid and divx. When i play the video the 'Haali Media Splitter' pops up at my task bar. when i right click on it, it says video handler: undetermined. same goes for sound handler. anyone can help me out here?

I am having the same problem, except I don't really have an option to change a software player, just directshow filters. I use media center, if it helps, it also does it with DVDs. I am currently using XVID Mpeg4 Decoder and AC3 Filter for mpeg4 playback.

    Thank You

    AC3 isn't allowed in mp4.

You could try Gabest's mp4 splitter instead of Haali's. Don't think different decoders would effect sync. Could be that the files were created that way.

3gp means that it could be h.263 video and AMR audio.
