    When you have a set of VOBS like VTS_01_1.VOB & VTS_01_2.VOB, I cannot convert the second with any software. The first loads and converts fine but the 2nd one cannot even be loaded into the conversion software. Is there some trick?

    waaaaaay too vague. Where is the source coming from? The DVD...was it ripped to your hard drive? What software are you using and how are you doing it?

    you probably need to combine them back into one large mpg first. try vob2mpg. put all the vobs that belong together in a folder by themselves and run the program on them.
