    Hi

I have 2 xvid files which i want to put onto dvd using DIKO. But after DIKO has converted them, the resulting mpg file loses the sound from the point that the 2nd xvid starts (the first xvid file is fine, sound and all).

I have a mp2 file of the sound which does contain the complete sound file, but i'm not sure if that can be used to replace the incomplete sound of the mpg.

Can anyone tell me why the sound cuts off at the change of xvid files?

    Thanks

If it does indeed contain the combined sound of both files in one mp2 file you can mux that with the video file. A program like tmpgenc can mux just the video and the new audio to create a new merged file. In tmpgenc go to file - mpeg tools - multiplex. Then deselect the exisiting audio and add the complete audio file and save.

As for why it dropped the second video I wouldn't know. I don't use that program. Though it may depend on the audio format of the two xvids. If one is cbr and the other is vbr that may have contributed. Though I can't say for certain.

Thanks yoda i'll give that a try.

I don't know what the audio formats of the 2 files are but i can say that it has done it before with 2 other xvid files i tried to put on dvd. I wasnt sure if there was a setting on DIKO that was causing it.

Well as I said I don't use that program so I can't tell you. But you can combine the audio and video for sure Good luck.
