Hi, I've got two 45 mins avi files that i want to burn to one dvd. I want to use avi2dvd to convert them to dvd format. I've renamed them to CD1 and CD2, and it says it has picked up both files. But shortly after clicking GO, it gives an error joining the files due to them being different resolutions. So I guess I'm going to have to do them as seperate jobs. I want to burn the end product with Nero Burning ROM. If I do them seperately I'll end up with either two iso files, or two sets of VIDEO_TS files (with the same filenames presumably). So what's the best way to get them both on one disc? Thanks for any tips.

If you do them seperately you can use TDA to put them in the same title and have play virtually seamlessly. There is a 30 day demo if it for a one off project.

You could also use avisynth to join them. A bit more convoluted, but basically load them as seperate sources, resize and join them to become a single output. Serve this to your encoder then author.

thanks. don't particularly need them in the same title. if i select them with nero, will it matter that the vob files have the same names once avi2dvd has finished with them?

Yes. Use DVD Shrink in reauthor mode to create a single DVD structure for burning. You can even tell it to burn directly with Nero as soon as it finishes combining them.
